Numbers - Fractions, Decimals and Percentages

Converting decimals to percentages is pretty easy really, so don't worry too much about this
  1. Express each of the following as a percentage:
    1. 0.25
    2. 0.5
    3. 0.75
    4. 0.1
    5. 0.4152
    6. 0.8406
  2. Express each percentage as a decimal:
    1. 50%
    2. 12%
    3. 40%
    4. 34%
    5. 60.2%
    6. 54.9%
  3. Express each of the following as a percentage. Round your answers to 1 d.p. where necessary.
    1. 11 e) 2 n b) —1 4 0 23 c) —1 4 g) 8 15 d) —3 h) 4 7 g) 0.3962 h) 0.2828 g) 43.1% 11) 78.8%
  4. Express each percentage as a fraction in its lowest terms:
    1. 25%
    2. 60%
    3. 45%
    4. 8.2%
    5. 88.6%
    6. 30%
    7. 32.4%
    Best thing to do with e)-h) is to put them 0 49.6% =over 100, then get rid of the decimal point by multiplying top and bottom by 10. Then just cancel down as normal.
  5. 119 out of 140 houses on an estate have DVD players. What percentage is this?
  6. In an exam Tina scored 52/80. The grade she receives depends on the percentage scored. What grade will Tina get? Grades
    51-60% D
    61-70% C
    71-80% B
    81-90% A
    91-100% At
