Homophones or not

Some words are pronounced as homophones by some native speakers but not others. Some words are global homophones and are pronounced the same all over the English speaking world. Look at these word pairs and decide whether they are homophones for you or not. Check a dictionary and write the phonetic symbols for each word in the pair. Decide which pairs sound alike and which have different sounds.

Listen to each native speaker and decide whether the words are spoken as homophones or not.
