How to make this sound
is a consonant made by almost closing the teeth together.
The lips are pushed forward.
Lift the tongue tip slightly toward the roof of the mouth
and allow the sides of the tongue to touch the inside edge of the side
teeth. Blow air out over the tip of the tongue. It is the sound we make
when telling someone to be quiet. "Shhhhhh !"
This is an unvoiced sound.
SH- turns into an S if you move the tongue forward.
