You can create a new room. Just go there and it will be ready for you. Eg /chat/library will visit a room called library.
Rooms created on the fly will not appear in the open rooms list until the room is marked as open
A private conversation can be in a secret room URL or via private messages in any room.
All messages are cleared out after a day or so. Nothing is kept for long.
