Using Netbeans to connect to a website from your home PC
Download a stable release from
Netbeans .org
Currently 8.2 ( As of Sept 2018 )
Make sure you download a version that can handle ALL the various technologies, PHP java etc.,
- Click on the New Project If nothing happens, you have a java problem and might have to install a different version of java. Search the internet for and such problems
- Obtain your ftp username and password for the domain in question Contact Admin
- Configure your project as a remote ftp connection ( Unless you are using a local server such a WinAmp )
- Set the upload directory :
If you are using an additional ftp account given to you, use "/" as your home directory as it will be determined by the admin who set up your home directory on the main control panel
