JESUS CHRIST — HIS VIRTUES
To know Jesus is to behold perfect character. The Gospels reveal a life radiant with humility, compassion, truth, courage, mercy, justice, wisdom, and holiness. This page gathers core Scripture to meditate on His virtues—and to call us to follow in His steps.
Humility
- Philippians 2:5–11 – He “made himself of no reputation” and became obedient unto death.
- John 13:1–17 – He washed the disciples’ feet, modeling servant leadership.
Compassion
- Matthew 9:35–38 – He was moved with compassion for the harassed and helpless.
- Luke 4:16–21 – Good news to the poor; liberty to the oppressed.
Truth and integrity

Servanthood and leadership
